MyAIBackupTerms of service

These terms apply when you use the MyAIBackup app, website and cloud backup ("the service"). By using the service you agree to them.
What the service does
MyAIBackup keeps a copy of your AI conversations and related files on your Mac, can store an encrypted copy online if you choose a paid plan, and can help you move your history to another account. MyAIBackup is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.
Your account
You sign in with your Google account. You're responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your Mac and your recovery key safe.
Your recovery key
Cloud backups are encrypted with a key that only you have. If you lose your recovery key and your Mac, nobody, including us, can open your cloud backup. Please keep it somewhere safe.
Your content
Your conversations and files remain yours. You give us only the permission we need to store your encrypted copies and run the service. You must have the right to back up and move the content you use with the service.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, to access accounts or data that aren't yours, or to interfere with the service or other people's use of it.
Plans and payments
Some features need a paid plan. Prices are shown before you buy. Payments are processed by Stripe. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the service running and your backups safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or end features; if we end cloud backup, we'll give you notice and time to download your data.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email.
