Just want to back up your Mac? You don't need an account for that. Download the app and it starts right away.
Overview
Install the Mac app to start
Everything happens in the app on your Mac. It backs up your Claude Code history the moment it opens. Then sign in to this account from the app (Cloud backup → Continue with Google) and your Mac shows up here.
Macs where the MyAIBackup app is signed in to this account. Each reports how its backup is doing about every 15 minutes while it's on: only counts and times, never what's in your conversations.
Cloud backup
An encrypted copy of your backup online, so a lost or broken Mac doesn't mean lost history. It's locked on your Mac with a key only you have; we store it but can't read it.
Storage
Your recovery key
When a Mac signs in to cloud backup for the first time, the app shows a 64-character recovery key. It's the only way to open your cloud backup on another Mac. We never see it and can't reset it. To see it again, open the app and click Show recovery key.
Restore on a new Mac
Install MyAIBackup on the new Mac and open it.
Under Cloud backup, choose Continue with Google and sign in to this account.
Click Restore from cloud, choose which Mac's backup to bring back, and enter your recovery key.
