Download MyAIBackup for Mac
Free public beta. One download works on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 12 Monterey or later.
Install in three steps
- Open the download. Double-click
MyAIBackup.dmgin your Downloads folder. - Drag MyAIBackup into Applications.
- Open it from Applications. The first time, macOS asks you to confirm (see below).
Opening it the first time
The beta isn't signed by Apple yet, so the first time you open it macOS says it can't check the app. That's expected. To open it:
- Double-click MyAIBackup in Applications. When macOS shows the warning, click Done (or Cancel).
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and scroll down. Next to "MyAIBackup was blocked", click Open Anyway.
- Confirm with your Mac password or Touch ID, then click Open.
On macOS 14 or earlier you can also right-click (or Control-click) MyAIBackup in Applications, choose Open, and then Open again.
You only do this once. A version signed by Apple is coming, and then it opens like any other app.
What happens next
- A MyAIBackup icon appears in your menu bar, and the window opens.
- Your Claude Code history is backed up right away. The top of the window tells you when it's done.
- To also back up claude.ai and Claude Design, click Connect Claude account and sign in once.
- MyAIBackup starts on its own when you log in, so it keeps your backup up to date without you thinking about it.
Updating
Download the new version here and drag it into Applications, replacing the old one. Your backup is kept. Automatic updates are coming.
